Why EVs need different tire care
Electric vehicles are heavier, deliver instant torque, and operate more quietly, which can lead to faster tire wear. The right tires and proper care make a real difference in safety, efficiency, and ride comfort.
- Heavier vehicles, faster wear. Battery packs add significant weight, which puts more stress on your tires.
- Instant torque. Quick acceleration can wear tread faster than on a typical gas vehicle.
- A quieter ride. With no engine noise, tire and road noise are easier to notice, so tire choice affects comfort too.
- Range matters. Tire type and correct pressure can influence efficiency, so the right tire and proper inflation make a real difference.
